Lake Balaton
The lake, covering an area of nearly 600 km2, is the largest lake in Central Europe. Also called "The Hungarian Sea", it is 77 km long and is located in central Transdanubia.

Its green-yellow opaque and smooth water makes it one of the most popular  natural wonders of the country. Indeed, the Lake Balaton is the most popular region in Hungary. It offers optimum bathing conditions, shallow water and a temperature from 20 to 26 ° C in summer. The 195 km of beaches are an ideal playground for children and adults. On the northshore where the waters are deeper, you can practice many water sports.

The surroundings of the lake are also worth a visit: many cultural, historical and natural sites will delight you.
