The Danube
The Danube is the longest river in the European Union and Europe's second longest river after the Volga. It originates in the Black Forest in Germany and flows eastwards for a distance of some 2850 km (1771 miles), passing through several Central and Eastern European capitals (Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade), before emptying into the Black Sea via the Danube Delta in Romania and Ukraine. The Delta is part of the UNESCO World heritage.
Flowing eastwards from its source in Germany , it changes direction at the North of Budapest, in the famous and marvellous Danube Bend, flowing then southwards.

We propose you to discover this legendary river. By bike, by horse or by foot, starting from or heading to Budapest, also named "the Pearl of the Danube".
